A4LE Washington Chapter kicked off the year with the first monthly tour at the beautiful Northshore Concert Hall!
In addition to the tour, the Northshore School District and Hutteball + Oremus Architecture shared some remarks about what made this a successful project. The visit to the hall concluded with a delightful student performance.
The tour was followed by dinner and a discussion panel of acoustics experts at McMenamins Anderson School in Bothell. They explained various elements that must be considered when designing a concert hall. The acoustics of the “shoe box” architectural style of the Northshore Concert Hall was carefully designed with sound quality in mind throughout the venue as it dictates the shape, proportion, and size of all the spaces.
To finalize their presentation, the panel of professionals proudly shared that they are also musicians at heart!
