Mike Fitzmaurice

Mike has over 30 years of experience designing electrical systems for numerous commercial projects across the state of Washington. As an active design lead in his projects, he applies hands-on design in power, communications, AV, security, fire alarm, closed circuit television, and emergency power systems.

His extensive communications and audio-visual experience includes the design of wide area networks and local area networks for entire school districts and commercial clients.

Kevin Wartelle

P.E., LEED™, Principal

Kevin has been with Travis Fitzmaurice since 1996. He has served as principal-in-charge and/or project manager on numerous commercial, civic, tribal, and educational projects. Kevin has extensive experience in all aspects of electrical design, as well as the ever-changing technologies of data and telecommunications. In addition to being a professional engineer, Kevin is a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) through BICSI. He combines hands-on experience with thorough knowledge of industry codes and standards to apply the fundamentals of telecommunications distribution design to the unique requirements of each project. Through his participation in BICSI-sponsored continuing education programs and conferences, Kevin keeps up with the latest technologies and practices in the continually evolving communications industry. Kevin’s knowledge of the ever-evolving technological needs, and his expertise with telecommunications, has earned him projects of varying sizes within the US, as well as internationally in China.

Aprille Balangue

L.C., Principal, Director of Business Development

As principal at TFWB Engineers, Aprille Balangue has led the team on numerous educational, multi-use, civic, and other commercial projects. She has over 15 years of electrical design experience in power distribution, communications systems, audio visual, fire alarm, security, access control, and architectural lighting design. She enjoys working closely with the client and the design team to deliver integrated solutions that are smart and sustainable for learning, working and living environments.

Aprille is the lead lighting + controls designer for the team and enjoys collaborating with architects and interior designers to create an illuminated environment that meets both aesthetic and functional goals. She keeps abreast of the latest trends and technologies in lighting design and lighting controls and brings innovative solutions to the table, such as human centric lighting, acoustic lighting, LLLC, and wireless controls.
