The Madrona K-8 School is a one-of-a-kind public school in the Edmonds School District.

TFWB proudly partnered with Mahlum for the electrical and lighting design to replace the previous Madrona school. The new educational facility serves 650 students and offers innovative, flexible learning environments that were not adequately supported in the previous one.

Madrona K-8 School is approximately 80,000 square feet with five new buildings for classrooms and one for the entry, administration, gym, cafeteria, kitchen, library, and the school’s music and science programs. The project included improved parking, bus/automobile circulation, and new play fields.

The design throughout the campus facilitates exterior circulation as a way to minimize hallways use, thus maximizing space for learning and teaching. Each room was crafted to foster and cultivate inclusion and respect among staff and students.
