TFWB Principal Aprille Balangue took the 7th graders into the world of electrical engineering. She talked about the work that electrical engineers do, how to overcome challenges and how to flourish in the industry, and her favorite part of her job… integrated design and team collaboration.

She also shared where her fulfillment comes from – seeing students and staff thrive in the learning environments that she helped create.

Students were very excited to learn about the different types of modern lighting specified in schools that are not only functional for their daily activities, but also help save the environment with numerous energy saving features.

Aprille demonstrated an LED tunable lighting fixture to show the students the advancements in lighting technology as well as the human-centric benefits.
