A4LE 2022 Planning & Design Awards - Renovation
AIA Washington Civic Design Award Winner – Citation Award
AIA Seattle Honor Award Winner – Honorable Mention
In February 2019, Olympic High School added a new 92,500 SF two-story building with modern technical labs and 24 additional permanent classrooms to replace portables.
This project also added a prominent entry with clerestory windows to allow natural light into the space, a 417-seat auditorium, a new library, and a two-story light‐filled commons area where students and faculty can gather to de-stress and interact in a variety of ways.
We pride ourselves on keeping sustainability and energy efficiency within our electrical design. The new facility uses 70% less energy than building code requirements. Because of this, Olympic High School received an AIA Civic Design Award and qualified for the Puget Sound Energy Conservation Grant.
